Strasbourg 1989
The first meeting of the new era. We heard of it by word on mouth at the various markets at the end of 1988. I was waiting for something like this and thought I couldn't loose it.
The place chosen was Strasbourg, for a certain feeling of united Europe, but also because it was quite the same distance from all the Countries that showed interest in the event.
I went there by car, loading the scooters inside. Once there the atmosphere was excited; meeting people from other Countries with the same love for scooters was just brilliant. It was funny to see aged Italians looking at shiny English customs with curiosity and young English looking at lovingly restored Italian open frames models, thinking they were not so bad.
A new era for scootering was just started, and we hope it lasts for long time.

This is the Amiga shown there for the first time, but never put into production. Maybe today it could obtain a certain success.

Trying my English mate Stuart's Lambretta. He is the builder also of the "Supertune low line special". I remember it was quite quick and very very loud!
A D type owned by a Portuguese guy that used to race on that scooter. Note that there is a second fuel tank fitted and replaces the tool box.
