Owner_ Paul Bromley.
Location_ Bebington, Merseyside, UK. Club_ Chester Centurions. Specification_ SR175 with inlet and exhaust ports matched; SX150 gear box, 46/17 sprockets; 42ml Clubman exhaust; 6 pole 6v electrics; Original SX crank; Carburettor is a 28/30 oval bore Keihin PWK, with RamAir filter. Paint_ Frame is Metallic Silver; bodywork Sapphire Blue. Specialised parts_Chequerplate splashplate; AF dampers; Progressive springs; R1 rear shock with 200lb spring; Dropped bars; Hydraulic outboard front disc; Cylinder Head Temperature gauge; Fibreglass GP sidepanels and front mudguard. Inspiration_ Initially bought SX150 frame with matching, and bare, engine casing. Wanted cheap, sporty, fun bike, with minimal chrome, and always like the look of an SX, with GP panels. Aimed to keep it as light as possible so no toolbox, and fibreglass parts. Performance_ still running in. Anything else_ took about 12 to 18 months whilst I picked up bits. It’s a classic “bitsa” really. There’s plenty of Series 2, Spanish, and GP parts in there if you look closely enough. With the exception of the paint, everything built by me, with technical assistance from friends on the LCGB forum!
