1966 SX 200. Originally
supplied by Weymouth Motorcycle Services, Dorset in 1966, and now owned
by Tim Scott, a photographer (Fluid Images) based in London.
The bike has been an
ongoing project for the past five years, and after several paint &
engine spec changes is now finished !
The engine now runs on
a Broadhurst stage 4 205cc top end, RS 48mm Clubman & Dellorto 30mm
PHBH carb. Ignition converted to electronic, with Italian GP crank and
lightened AF flywheel, front brake converted to reverse-pull.
Dynoed 15hp @ 87 mph,
and extremely reliable.Original Falbo floorboard extensions.
1966 Golden Special. Supplied
to me by Paolo and Dean @ RLC. Totally restored over a three month period,
utilizing all original bodywork & seat.
Resprayed in correct
Lechler code 8063. Only non-original iems are
electronic ignition &
GP crank (for reliability) and whitewall tyres (for vanity !). Engine totally
rebuilt around an acid dipped casing and now runs like a dream.
