The Scooter That Started Everything
This is the Lambretta that started my passion back in 1982. More than forty years later it is still one of the most meaningful scooters in my collection.

Ecco come tutto è cominciato.
- cilindro 175 standard con pistone Borgo conversione;
- albero motore DL;
- volano Ducati per cono grosso;
- accensione originale a puntine.
- allarga-pedane Falbo;
- fregi cofani Super "Flag Series";
- specchietto Ulma da scudo;
- gemma fanale posteriore Catalux;

Here is how it all started.
This Lambretta has been with me since 1982, when I swapped my Piaggio Sì moped for it with the local mechanic. She was lying semi-abandoned in one corner of his workshop.
Those were the days when owning this or that model did not really matter. The important thing was simply riding around on a Lambretta looking like a sixties Mod.
Since then she has seen countless adventures and many different versions until, in 2010, I decided it was finally time to bring her back to her original appearance.
To tell the truth, my intention was to complete the restoration for our 30th anniversary together in 2012, but life had different plans and I only found the time and motivation to finish it in August 2014.
There are so many memories connected with this scooter.
She spent the whole year of my military service with me in 1986, allowing me to travel freely whenever I was away from home.
She took me on holiday to Yugoslavia in 1989 and became the guinea pig for all my first mechanical experiments.
Maybe that's why she started again on the second kick after the restoration and immediately proved to be one of those engines that simply come together perfectly.
She is not a rocket, but speed was never the purpose of this restoration.
The engine features:
- standard 175 cylinder with Borgo conversion piston;
- DL/GP crankshaft;
- Ducati large-cone flywheel;
- original points ignition.
Over the years I collected a few period accessories to complete the scooter exactly as I wanted:
- Falbo footboard extensions;
- Super "Flag Series" side panel embellishers;
- Ulma legshield mirror;
- Catalux rear light lens;
- Conti exhaust lately changed for an original twin pipe.
Nothing else is needed now.
She is finally complete and ready to ride the roads of the world once again.
Riding her again after so many years was a truly emotional experience.
